So earlier tonight, while I was in the bathroom brushing my hair I had this conversation with Donna.
Before I tell you what we said, this is what happened prior to the evening. Donna woke up frantically this morning because she overslept and her exam started at 9am, she asked for advise and I told her to run for it...and if she saw a bus, hop on it. She texted me later in the day and said that she made it just in time, which left me curious because she left the house at 9.03am.
Doris: So, how did you get to your exam ON TIME? Didn't you leave the house at 9am??
Donna: I ran.
Doris: Wow. You must have been running for your life.
Donna: Oh..Well, I saw a car on my way and I asked for a ride.
Doris: .............what?!?!
Donna: I tapped on her car window and asked for a ride.
Doris: (weirded out) You're joking right?
Donna: (totally serious) No.
Doris: Did you know her?
Donna: No, but she was hesitant at first.
Doris: Why would you do that? Why would you ask a stranger for a ride? (Gave her the "I-think-youre-out-of-our-mind" look.)
Donna: It's OK. It's a girl, and I told her I would pay her. (Sounding annoyed that I would think it's weird).
Doris: ...?!?!?... DONNA!!?????........
Donna: WHAT?!? Gee...
(left me speechless for a few minutes)
Doris: So, what would you have done if she said no?
Donna: I'll just go to the next car and ask.
Doris: ..!!???!....The next car?
Donna: Ya, they were stopping at a red light. (totally normal and not embarrassed at all)
Doris: .........................
Apparently Donna thinks it's totally alright to tap on anyone's car window and ask for rides, as long as she paid. haha..I'm just stunned on how she didn't find anything weird about what she did. I mean, I do know she was desperate...but still. Later, Donna did laugh at how people might have thought she was a "BUM" and the possibility of scaring the lady in the car. Who wouldn't be, with this face at your car window.

hehe..I'm surprised she rolled down her car window.
